Step 1: Place your ruby into a bowl of gangajal.

Step 2: For the energy of sunlight, put the bowl outside in the Sun for around an hour.

Step 3: Take out your ring or gemstone and wear it.

Yellow Sapphire/Pukhraj

How to clean Yellow Sapphire/Pukhraj

Step 1: To clean natural pukhraj in sunlight, take water with added turmeric powder in a bowl.

Step 2: Place it, immersing your ring in sunlight.

Step 3: After an hour or two, take out the clean and recharged gemstone.

Blue Sapphire/Neelam

How to clean Blue Sapphire/Neelam

Step 1: Take a bowl of water with rock salt in it and immerse the blue sapphire ring.

Step 2: Place the bowl in the house temple during sunset. Leave it overnight.

Step 3: Wash your original blue sapphire ring after taking it out the next morning.

Emerald/Panna

Planet- Mercury

Day - Wednesday

Finger to wear- Little/Ring Finger 

How to clean Emerald/Panna

Step 1: Take a bowl of holy water or gangajal and add basil/tulsi leaves.

Step 2: Dip the natural emerald ring in it and keep in the sunlight outside.

Step 3: Take out the ring after 2 to 3 hours, wash it and wear it.

Red Coral/Moonga

How to clean Red Coral/Moonga

Step 1: Take some water in a bowl and add jaggery powder to it and then dip your natural red coral ring or pendant in it for 2/3 hrs.

Step 2: Place the bowl in sunlight outside at a safe place. 

Step 3: Take it out, wash and wear it.

How to clean Pearl

Step 1: Add some raw milk in a bowl of holy water and immerse the pearl stone in it.

Step 2:  Place the bowl under the full moon overnight.

Step 3: Wash and wear your pearl ring or stone after taking it out from the bowl.

Hessonite/Gomed

How to clean Hessonite/Gomed

Step 1: Place your natural gomed ring in a bowl filled with gangajal.

Step 2: Place the bowl in front of the figurine of Maa Lord Saraswati. Leave the bowl overnight.

Step 3: Take out the original hessonite ring from the bowl and wear it.

Cat’s Eye/Lehsunia

How to clean Cat's Eye/Lehsunia

Step 1: To wash-off all impurities from the lehsunia stone; take the bowl filled with holy water and add some rock salt.

Step 2:  Immerse the stone and place infront of the idol of Ganpati.

Step 3: Leave the bowl overnight and then take out the cat’s eye ring early morning to embrace it.

Diamond/Heera

Planet- Mars

Day - Friday

Finger to wear- Middle/Ring Finger 

How to clean Diamond/Heera

Step 1: It’s different for diamonds. For purifying the diamond, take some soil in a bowl and dig the ring deep in it.

Step 2: Venus, associated with earth, purifies the diamond when kept infront of  Goddess  Laxmi.

Step 3: Leave it for the whole night and take it out in the morning to wear it.

Vedic Mantra-   “Om Dram Dreem Droum Sah Shukraya Namah”  

Please note that prolonged exposure of the stones to the sunlight can wither the stone’s surface; thereby altering its benefits. Try to set your stone out before nightfall and pick up before 9 to 10 a.m. This will allow your gemstone to bathe both in Sun as well as Moon.
