How to Wear 8 Mukhi Rudraksha?
An abhishek vidhi must be performed before wearing an 8 mukhi rudraksha to energise it. According to rudraksha science experts, it should be worn on a Wednesday for best results. The puja is simple and can be performed at dawn. The rituals are as follows:
To perform the 2 nd type of puja, you will need:
Panchagavya/ Panchamrit, Gangajal, peepal leaves, kapur and coconut
Cleanse the rudraksha with Gangajal or Panchamrut
Now, take some sandalwood paste and smear it onall sides of the 8 mukhi rudraksha
Once done, light agarbatti or kapur and in a circular motionwave it around the rudraksha
Make an offering of flowers, preferably white, to it
As the last step, gently touch the rudraksha to a shivling or photo of Lord Shiva, chanting 'Om Namah Shivaya' 11 times.
At dawn, sit facing the east
Take a spoonful of Gangajal and clean the rudraksha properly
Now, place 9 peepal leaves on a copper plate
Apply sandalwood paste and offer flowers
Chant ‘AUM Namaha Shivay, Aum Hreem Namaha’ 108 times.
