6 Mukhi Rudraksha

After wearing 6 Mukhi Rudraksha, it becomes essential to follow a series of care and cleaning steps to ensure its maintenance.

 Brush the mukhis to clean any dust particles collected inside.

 Soak it overnight in water and dry in sunlight.

 Clean with oil.

Things to avoid:

 Do not clean the Rudraksha with the help of Commercial detergent or chemicals, Soap or any other foaming agent.

 Refrain its contact with Talcum powder

 Do not expose this to excessive heat

How to Wear 6 Mukhi Rudraksha?

As mentioned in the sacred texts, a 6 mukhi rudraksha must be purified and energised by following the correct rituals. Doing this enhances the divine essence of the rudraksha and helps the wearer get faster results. The puja vidhi can be performed at home and does not require the presence of a pandit. The most auspicious day for wearing a 6 mukhi rudraksha is Tuesday.

There are two rituals which can be used to activate a 6 mukhi rudraksha:

To perform the 2 nd type of puja, you will need:

•  Panchagavya/ Panchamrit, Gangajal, peepal leaves, gangajal, kapur and coconut
•  Pour Gangajal or Panchamrut over the rudraksha to cleanse it
•  Apply sandalwood paste
•  Wave a stick of agarbatti or kapur over the rudraksha
•  As an offering, place white flowers before
•  Touch the rudraksha to a shivling or photo of Lord Shiva, chanting 'Om Namah Shivaya' 11 times.
•  Face towards north east as you take your seat
•  Clean the rudraksha with Gangajal
•  Place it on a stack of 9 peepal leaves set on a copper plate.
•  Rub sandalwood paste and offer white flowers

Chant ‘AUM NamahaShivay, AumHreemNamaha’ 108 times.
