It has been proven that wearing a gemstone on your person can change your aura. It can bring you positive and healing energy and can even change your outlook on life. Gemstones are very different from the birthstones gems online. While birthstones are decided by the month you’re born in, gemstones depend upon the position of stars and planets at the time of your birth.
No two people have the same gemstone, and this makes the selection all the more crucial. Choosing a gemstone to wear is an important decision. Instead of contacting a gemstone supplier, take consultation with a gemologist. Many people believe that getting gemstones is a matter of buying them and wearing them around your neck; however, that’s not the case.
What is the right time and day to wear your gemstone?
The most common mistake that people make is to assume that gemstones can be worn anytime. Even if you buy gemstones online, they cannot be worn throughout the week or on random days. Each gemstone has a right time and a day on which it has to be worn.
Here’s a list of gemstones and when you should wear them:
Yellow Sapphire is the planetary stone for Jupiter. This stone should be worn on Thursdays during sunrise. It should only be mounted on yellow metal like gold.
Emerald is the planetary stone for Mercury. This gemstone should be worn only on Wednesday during sunrise. Emerald is friendly with all metals and can be mounted on gold, silver, etc.
Blue Sapphire is the planetary stone for Saturn. It should be worn on Saturday during sunset. It should be mounted on white metals like silver or white gold.
Venus stones, including Diamond, Opal, White Sapphire, and even natural Jarkan, can be worn on Friday morning. They should be mounted on white metals like Silver or White gold.
Ruby is the stone for the Sun. This red gemstone should only be worn on Sunday during sunrise. Men can wear this stone only on the right hand while women can wear it on either right or left.
Pearl is the stone of the Moon. It should only be worn on Mondays before sunrise. It should be worn on the little finger. Like Ruby, men should only wear this on the right hand while women can wear it on either hand.
While these are the most common prescriptions given when you consult with a gemologist, we recommend consulting with a gemologist. Wearing gemstones on random days and times can cause more harm than good. These require regular upkeep and should be worn properly to have the best effect.
What is the procedure to wear a gemstone?
Whether you’re wearing your gemstone in a ring or a pendant, make sure that the bottom-tip of the gemstone is always touching your skin. Gemstones also require regular purifications and should be done every other time you wear them.
Purification of gemstones can either be done using Ganga Jal or raw cow’s milk. To purify your stone, take half a cup of either of the liquids in a bowl and slowly dip your gemstone three times. While dipping, repeat the mantra 108 times.
The mantra for purification depends upon your gemstone and your birth stars. This is one of the reasons why you must consult a certified gemologist is important.
You should never wear a cracked gemstone. If you notice a crack or a chip in your stone, you should immediately contact your gemologist to see whether your stone can be replaced.
